The have been many articles about the situation in the middle east, and I'm talking about with terrorism that is taking place in afgahnastan and Iraqi. it has not really got all that better in those regions of the world. There have been many attempts by al-qaeda to disrupt the whole effort out there. My question is if the newly elected president be able to handle the situation in the right manner. We have already upset many people in the middle east with our unnecessary war in Iraqi and for the most part the leader of this terrorist group is still roaming the world like its OK.I'm really hoping that the new leader of the new world will bring this man to justice for what he has committed and the destruction he is committing. The terrorist group is using many tactics to disable the whole region and will stop at no cost so i have high hopes that the new president will bring him to justice.

There was a very interesting article that was given to us in our literature class and i found it so amazing I'm not sure i believe everything it says but it makes your mind work. The article was about how we are trying to see some kind of sign that will let us know about a future natural disaster and how we can save our most impressive technology just in case we are wipe out so that if there is some left they can gain some information about the past that man has made great advances. There were many scientist that have studied the great pyramids and they have come to the conclusion that that was what they were doing as they save alot of their great tech and readings, writings and all their knowledge.So the article goes into how in now in the present day we are not paying to much attention and like the article is called a thief in the night that disaster is going to come.

There is something that i have been wanting to talk about and that is the believe in what we call fictional literature writings or the study of scientific study dealing with the earth. Let me start out by saying that we have a tendese to get frighten by these things we her about the earth ending or some kind of disaster taking place. Man loves to place fear into the hearts and minds of people with these ideas that are not always proven. Some of what we hear is true in the sense of the information that they have come with and the study and recording of some of the events that have taken place in the past or present time. There are individuals that for some reason just love to live insome type of fear. Lets not forget that there is a higher being that gave us life and loves us and wants us to be happy but we must not get lost in all this redoric . So take the time to look into what we believe in and what others wants us to believe in what they are saying.

The newest news in the strategic move by the Russian nation has been a greater move by the United States to set up long range missiles to defend the European nations and the U.S. from a missile strike that could come from Iran. Every since Iran has been developing nuclear weapons the U.S. has come up with an idea to defend themselves by asking Poland to permit the U.S. to set up the missile in that country. The problem with all of this is the tension it has created with Russia not liking the missiles so close to their country. Not to forget that Poland is a NATO nations and is also willing to defend themselves at any cost, and not repeat what happen in WWII which is something they have not forgot. To this date the Russians have not left the small country of Georgia even though they said that they would leave right away but they are still riding tanks through the city.

The summer is still going on and in enjoying every moment i can thanks to the almighty. Today i went site seeing and it was fantastic there was alot to see and do out at the south street seaport. There was so many people out there and the brooklyn bridge was lit up with all its lights and the water fall was running strong with the current of water flowing with such brightness. iI had some food out there it was pretty expensive but you pay for what you get in the city , its how it is ,you know. I walked from battery park to the seaport and the sun was shinning bright. i also saw the helicopter taking off at the heliport it was so cool with the engine roaring like a lion. We only have about a few weeks before the summer is over so like i said do as much as you can to enjoy every beautiful day to the fullest.

The situation around the world has not gotten any better and i mean with the wars that are starting between countries. The newest one is Russia and their new offensive movement against Georgia and the mayhem that has been created out there in western Europe. There has been alot of bombs and tanks have gone into some cities out there, while the United States has urge the Russians to stand back and basically take it easy.But now a days with the war in Iraq going on and the deaths that have taken place who is going to listen to the U.S. when Russia is still considered a super-power. Some might start to think that they are trying to gain land that they have lost but we won't be able to tell till time passes by and see what their next move might be.I have taken a look into the past and a grim reminder has come up in my mind when the cold war was in effect and the fear of nuclear war wasto take place any minute of the day, it was a scary time for us Americans. The Russians have put put alot of their resources into weapons and machines of destruction but nothing into their economy and people and this alone led to their down. The system of government was a total crash landing; many people in Russia are starving of hunger due to the system. There are many who think there might be a problem looming in western Europe with the Untied States and their installation of the strategic missile defense , which makes Russia very uneasy and want them removed from the region. Lets hope they learn from their past and just take it easy so we all could be at peace.

The summer games have begun and it was such an amazing introduction that was presented by the Chinese,in my point of view it has been the best that ever presented in any of the games. The dancing the fireworks the lights it was so exciting watching this on t.v. it was also very beautiful to see so many countries come together and share this great moment. The games are going to be a very competitive one at that ,thus the very well trained altheles that will be going out there to get that gold metal; this is a very happy time but we must never forget the people out there that can't even watch the games or more important have a plate of food. In the mist of these games going on in China we must always remember that it is our duty to help the less or unfortunate. The games will be an exciting one to watch and we will see who is going to come out on top and what records will be broke and made. Yes I'm going for the United States and i know we will be on top but let me tell you that it will not be easy at all so lets root for the home team to bring home the gold metal.

This topic is not something that is new to me, I have thought about the world ending tommorrow and how it would affect my life as i know it. This would would mean to me my immediate closeness to the Lord so nothing else would matter. There was a documentary i had seen today about the end of the world, but it was so interesting becaus eit had to do with the problem going on today in the middle east. The documentary focus on Iran and its problem by obtaining nuclear weapons, the country who feels the biggest threat is Israel becaus the on going dispute with its neighbors that has been going on for years. The support that Israel has from the United States also creates a threat for Iran as they fear a tatical attack against there country just like the U.S. did with Iraq. So here is the problem that if Iran does gain these weapons there is a very likely possibility that Israel might attack and other muslim countries will not like the idea and an all out war could start which eventually get the United States involve. So basically this could be the start of war III. There are many countries in the middle east that feel threaten by the United States and Israel together and vise verse so there is alot of preperation in order to be ready for this day , which could mean the end of the world. It is a very scary idea to think about but lets hope things can change for the good because the last thing we all need now a days is to get caught up in a nuclear war

His name is obama and he is liked by my people through out the country he represents a hopeful change in america and his ideas seem unique so the people look like there are ready for some thing new since the present leader has lead us to a very bad outcome , but the very facty that the economy is in bad shape says that there can be change if someone fights for the people and i mean the middle class working people who alwys get left with the bill. THe war is still going on and i dont really see and good outcome from the war We have spent lots of money in iraq and many lives have been lost.The race for the white house is on and all i can really say is that we need change and for the good so we could bring america to the point it was before.

The summer has been pretty exciting for me i have gone swimming about ten times this year in an indoor pool. Im like an olympic swimmer 0or more like a fish when it comes to water. I have also gone sitseeing here in the city ,visted places that i haave not visited bef0re so you can also imagine that i have spent alot of money.The hardest part is that i have been working this whole summer so thats pretty much a bummer.There is one site that i found very interesting and thats the man made water falls in the city espeacially the one by the brooklyn brigde it is very outstanding at nite with the lighting they put to it. i have try to set up a trip to the islands but the money has not been there so i brought the islands to me and i have made the best of it.So now there is only one month left of the summer of 2008 and there are many more things i would like to do, so lets see what the ending summer will bring and lets make the best of it. So get your butt out there and try to have some fun.

We live in a great country and a blessed country and we are people that take things for granted with things that are very simple, like water and clothing , food. We through out things that people have such great need for around the world.We forget that we need to help those who are in need not walk pass them, just imaginme for a minute if your life was to change around one day and im not talking for the good and you hope that someone can give you a helping hand, that is a very terrible feeling.Lets not just think about our selfs only and start to live in a world where we can help each other, think about how you might spend money on things that you dont really need. Im not saying to go out there and give your all or try to save the world by your self , if everyone can put a little bit in the basket we can all make a difference and you will feel something in your heart that you never felt before. Love is the greatest force of power in the universe stronger than any force you can imagine; greater than the force of a black whole.Open your heart and recieve that love when you help those who are in real need.

This week i have been going to the lunch room so much.When im at work ill have a small breakfast and a very large lunch. I eat for about two people and the funny thing is that i just dont gain no weight at all. Ill eat staek veggies and another plate of some rice potato with bread and a soda. ii have been trying to cut down but it seems like i just cant when lunch comes around 1:oo pm i get so hungry that at the begining of the day ill try to control my self to just having a salad but that doesnt last to long,ill just end up pigging out and by the way il spend a lot of money at that.I actually going to pay a visit to the doctor to see if he can give me some type of pill that can help me control my hunger because i feel im out of control.Most people would gain lots of weight if they ate like i did ,i start to worry because even if im not gaining to much weight on the outside i can be gaining weight on the inside ,the inner piping might not be so health as i think. I tend to eat lots of red meat which is not to healthy if you eat to much of it.If im going to eat so much i must change what im eating like more fish and greens to fill my self with vitamins that my body must use.

This is not a very deep story that im writing tonite but it was an interesting experience for me.Well it starts off for me with a situation where the money that i am making at my job is not enough for the bills that i have to pay, not to mention that i owe alot of money ,im talking about some credit cards and money that i had to borrow from friends. But this week i got kind of lucky because i was offered a deal to make some extra money working with a friend that has his own construction company where he works with fixing up houses ,im talking about the roofs the interior that has to do with wood like walls ,floors, or stairs. So i ended going with him on a job and let me tell you it was pretty fun and easy at the same time. We worked on a floor that had to get stripped and polish all over to make it look brand new. I got payed by my friend $500 in cash ;it was a large job took two days to complete. But the amazing part about this job was that the owner of the house was so pleased with the job we did that he took us out for dinner at a steak house all we want to eat and drinks as well. This wasnt the cherry on top at the very end of the night he gave me and my friend an extra $500 dollars each as a tip this was so cool i thought he was joking , but the man was serious and also offered us some more work in the house to do. This was the easest money that i have made in a very long time, we worked hard but the pay over lap the work so it was really great for myself, i was jumping in joy when i got home let me tell you.

This has been a very interesting day i would have to get to the point and talk a bit about the book i have to read for my english class. The name of the book is called end of time and the author gets into some deep thoughts about how the end of the world is coming very soon and that all the religions are all lies and that he is the next prophet choosen by God. Some of his points were really out of line but there were also someinteresting facts that he stated. For example like the how man is selfish, greedy, and self-centered and how man only thinks about getting never giving. The book had some contorverse to it but the points about turning to God and letting his will take place not ours is very true; man has been living his will for the last 6,000 years and has really forgot about our creator. Man has made goverments that oppress people, discriminate, and also killed their fellow brothers and sisters. There are many points to the book that i agree to but there are points of veiw that i do not agree with. The funny thing that i found interesting was that most of my class mates were straight out against the author on what he stated but i found myself agreeing with alot of the things he mention so for a moment i felt like i was crazy like him ,because that was what most of the classmates called him so it was pretty weird. But overall my faith in the almighting is to strong to let anyone or anything get in the way.

I have been reading a book that was asssigned to the class to read and let me tell you that it has very interesting parts to it , but the author lacks detail when he is talking about the world of man coming to an end. There have been many before this author that claim trhat the world was coming to an end and that they were the prophet and how Jesus to come,many stories and they all have been made up lies to get attention or make money or what ever reason they had.the book has many good points that starts putting your mind to work like how all the reigions in the world tell lies or contradict what they say or do it is very interesting reading what this author has to say. What makes me wonder is how the author talks about the revelation in the last chapter of the bible and how he feels he can uncode what God has said ,this is very strange to me.In the bible God said that man will not know when the end is coming or happening they will think it is that time but it wont be. I am looking forward to finishing the book and see what the end looks like.

The end of the world is such a mysterious and deep topic to speak about but also a very interesting one. The first thing that comes to my mind is the Lord almighty that has control of my life and the life of everyone on the face of the planet. The end of the world is also a way that peoples now a day’s use to put fear into the hearts of individuals, a way to stir up their thinking and bring out their fears. The most important part about the topic the end of the world would be is am I ready to face God and be judged by him at the last day. This is a question I ask myself often, the sins I have committed throughout my life have they all been forgiven by my savior? These are the thoughts that run through my mind, also the rest of my family will they go to heaven or hell that is the question. The time that I was on earth did I do what my God wanted me to do, did I let his will be imposed in my life or did I imposed my will , did I live my life according to his commandments and his rules. As it is said in the Bible Jesus will appear on the last day to judge the living and the dead. When will the end come that is a question that no one has a definite answer too. Only God knows.

The days have lately been hot and hazy and i mean hot ,its hard to breath or do anything for that matter. The temperture has been out of control and everyone is trying to find their way to stay cool drinking alot of water is one of the most important ways to stay cool and to have a lot of liquid in the body so we are now in the summer. The pools are open and they are full when the temps are this high espeacially on the weekend the beaches can get so pack that you need to get up early in the morning to find parking cause people head out to the shores.The city gets so hot that you can feel the heat coming off the pavement thats how hot it is .The breeze that comes through is also so hot you can't even imagine and by the way people are worried on the possible blackouts that can take place ,we do not need one in this city but there are so many air conditioners on that the energy that is been accumlated can be a bit to much for the city to handle. And looking back to the past years we have had alot of trouble with con edison and its equipment so hopefully this year we won't have to got through any of that.

I was looking at the newspaper the other day and there was an article that caught my attention and it had to do with the terrorists that are on trail for their invovlement in the 9/11 attacks in new york and washington. After about five years since the master mind of the attacks has made an apperance since his capture. His story now is he wants to die it must be that he just can't take being in prison, he wants us to put him to death so he can become a martyr.While i was reading the article alot of the victims family do want to see him put to death but i ask myself is that the best thing to do.Giving him the death penalty to much of an easy way out for him,plus i dont believe in the death penalty. I had spoke to a co-worker of mine and he made a very funny statement he said they should keep him alive and feeding him pork for the rest of his life, how funny that was when he said it i; i couldn't stop laughing. i guess its up to the judges in charge.

Wow, this is the first words out my mouth when i saw what i saw this week it was amazing.What am i talking about well how does a man climbing a building with no safety gear sound and not just one person but two.This story starts out on 8th ave when a man decide to climb the New York Times building with no safety gear he was way up before some one finally saw him.But when he was finally seen it caught the attention of the whole city it was seen live on t.v. , everyone was wondering when and if he was going to fall but he didn't and was eventually arrested. Hold up a sec this story doesn't end here cause after that event a second man from brooklyn thought of the same thing so it was not only one amazing event but two. People can only stand there and take pictures of what was taking place,the thoughts running in people's mind how do you do this without having any fear. It seem like these guys were out there to get attention and a thrill a high rise rush.Some of us can't even stand over a six story building without our knees shaking out of control and these guys were having a good time climbing a skyscaper. all i could say is that these men must have had a heart of steel to pull of this crazy stunt.Please do me a favor and don't try this at home.

Well it seems like the start of the summer is here the wheather was very nice today ,everyone wearing short shirts and women with their skirts. The kids are also out there having fun , it is a very happy time for the children this time of year. I really like the summer there is so much to do it is very exciting for me,at the moment i am single it would be nice to spend it with a female but im going to make the best i can this summer and hey you never know what this summer holds in store for me. I will definitely go swimming cause im a fish when it comes to water i love it, this summer im also trying to dop more excrise to get my body build up ,i dont have a weight problem but i would like to get much more muscular and also to eat better ,as you know the older you get the better you have to eat.So this is goijng to be a very big summer for me im going to make the best of it and there are going to be so many changes in my life ,it has already started and i will see the glory that is in store for me.

The day started out real nice i decided to take the day of work i had to catch up on a few things. I had to study and do some cleaning that i was not able to do during the weekend, its a beautiful day and i also got to rest my body since i wake up so early during the weekend and go to school as well.But the story that i wanted to talk today is about the onwer of the building i work in , his name is macklowe and he owned about seven buildings but was unable to paid them off so the bank took them from himand he finally lost onwership to yhe buildongs. The latest news is that the properties had been bought by some other company. He at the moment still owes some money and he has only two buildings so he has a very bid decision to make. He made a mistake from day one because he went over his head, not really being able to come up with the money to pay off the properties. It got so bad for macklowe that the bank was going to posess his personal properties like his yacht his expensive paintings and even his condo in the city which is worth millions of dollars.

This has been a very bad week for our local baseball teams i would start out by saying that we are basically in last place. The New York yankees and mets have no pitching to begin with,and then there are times when they can't even hit a simple pitch that i would say that most high school baseball teams would be able to slam out ofthe park.The new news going on in the mlb is the search for new coaches to manage the teams.These two new york teams are spending lots of money so the managers really have no choice in losing or winning we just want wins.There are times that i cant really watch a game on t.v. cause it can be very stressful to watch these teams lose in very sad ways.The season is only going half way so lets see if they could pick up there game and start to get hits and perform better than what they are doing ,so lets stay positive and watch our local baseball teams.

This weekend i started to build a small dog house for my friends dog . So me and my friend decided to go ahead and purchase the material that was needed in order to get this house built for the dog. We bought all the wood that was needed the nails we also measured everything and let me tell you that we had everything down to the wire. So we started to build the house and everything was going smooth the dog house was coming along fine. The wood seemed to be in place and the nails seemed to be well hammered into the wood. So we finally got done with this project and let me tell you that we were very happy to get this done, But the problem came about three days later while the dog was living in the house for some reason it fell apart and the whole dog house fell down to the ground. I felt like this house was so secure and that we did an excellent job. The problem was one nail which was put in the wrong place and the foundation of the dog house had no strength and everything just came crumbling down to the ground with the dog inside.

Camping in the cold

This is not so much a story about me but of a friend of mine that went to go upstate for the holiday. Since its the memeorial day weekend they decided to go camping and spend the weekend out there and have some fun. What they did not realize was that the temperature out there would be much lower than what it is out here. So lets say its 70 degrees out here it would be about 10 degrees less, so they basically got out there and they were freezing their butts off out there. But over all when i spoke to them they are having a good time and there is so much to do ,fishing , cooking with wood , going boat riding, and just enjoying the atmosphere.I have not spoken to them but only once since they went out there so lets wait and see how their trip went out there and what activities they did as well.

Tragic

Today there was a tragic accident that took place on the kosckic brigde that leads to the williamsburg brigde and the manhattan brigde. From the information i got today it was about four cars that crashed into a fuel tanker and some people died it wa sa terrible day on that brigde the traffic was so long that there were no cars moving at all. I must say that the times i drove on these NewYorkCity highways people now a days just have no patience and it is sad because alot of accident could be avoided. Sometimes i think there are to many cars on the highway and people just think about themselves and worry about where they are going.

Swimming in deep water

I have became a member of the parks department this week and where i live they have just constructed a new state of the art swimming pool. I had to pay about $75 a year to be able to use the swimming pool. The pool is about 5 feet t 20 feet , i am like a fish i love to swim it is like therapy to me i feel so relax when im swimming. The bad thing about this is that i am a smoker and my lungs are not as strong as they use to be so i really can't swim for a long amount of time and holding my breath under the water is out of the question. Im able to use the swimming pols through out the city it has to be for the parks dept. You will recieve a membership card and this will give you access to the facities in the city that are part of the parks department.

This day was a very busy day i had to go to work and also work on some home work that has been giving me problems. I woke up at 6 in the morning and do alot of cleaning at my building and let me tell you it was not easy at all.The mess from the night before did not make it easy at all. The fun but hard part of the day was the festival they had on 9th ave, there was all types of food and clothing and artifacts being sold. the weather was not all that great but it was really nice to see everyone outside with their kids laughing and having a good time. Its real nice to know that the summer is very near. There will be so much to do this summer so many activites all through the city. There will be so many festival to go to and enjoy, there are also exibits that will be on display for us to enjoy. I would say that there are about 20 different types of festivals for us to enjoy all in the tri-state area.What will make a big difference is how this weather is going to treat us this year.

This is a funny story because have been practicing speaking in front of people with out getting nervous and let me tell you that its not easy. I was saying a speech in front of some friends and i got very nervous i could not say some words i started to shake and even the notes i had in front of me i could not read the lines correctly. So what i did is practice in front of the mirror so i can shake of that nervous behavior and i started to speak in front of family so i can get useto speaking in front of people. Im also trying to keep good eye contact and stop moving around when im speaking ,try to have good posture and maintain a firm clear voice . This is what im going to do and keep speaking in front of people cause i know i will have to speak in my church and there will be a large crowd and i want to have a good performance.

This is kind of a crazy story i have to mention its about my cat . Its not my cat and its a young one and its a female.For some reason evry time i come home it follows me and starts to moeow and i never feed the cat or anything but it always has food dont get me wrong.The strange thing about this cat is that when i lay on the couch it starts to meow and pretty loud at that and it starts to jump on my arm and it bites my arm not to the point where it penetrates my skin ,something very gentle and it grabs my arm with its paws not with its nails. But the crazy part is that it bites on to my skin and it just stays in that position with my skin in its teeth and it just hangs there and this is evertime . Today, it was a glorious day for me as we catholics celebrate Pentecost.It is a celebration when the Lord sent down from the heavens the Holy Spirit to the twelve apostles and the Virgin Mary to give them strength and guidance plus all the gifts that was offer by the Holy ghost of God, everything from peace, wisdom,love,strength all the good the Holy Spirit has to offer. So tonight we had a big mass in the St. Patrick Catherdal in the celebration of the vigil pentecost. We did alot of praying we also did some singing and dancing and alot of praising. We ended the night around 12:00 in the morning, this day is also when Jesus left us the church. We ended the night with the celebration of the eucharist, what a night it was.

The week was a tough one for me because i can say that i only got about 28 hours of sleep the whole week. I mean i had so much to do with going to work and school, i get up early and i get home late so it has been real difficult for me to get a good nights rest. It got to the point where i have been getting some major headaches. I try to get home as soon as possible but with having to take a shower and getting ready for work the next day it adds up and by the time you know it its time to be back at work. Now let me say that i get up 3:30 am to get to work at 6:00 am and this is a full time job plus i have class full time as well not to forget. Now that the weekend is here i got some rest but there is always something to do so i just have to eat right and when i get a chance get the rest that i need and im sure i will make it through these tough times.

The change in weather is really affecting the climate and the storm systems around the world. Just in the news i saw something about a storm that destroyed a town somewhere in the pacific. I mean this was a total disaster to say the least. People are without water and food ,plus the land is just torn up. In the carribean as well major hurricane's are destroying these countries that dont even have the proper resources to aid the people who are in great need of the basic things in life.Im starting to notice that the storms are getting much more deadlier and stronger. Im not to sure if it has anything to do with the ozone layer and the pollution around the world. Even here at home in NYC we hardly had no winter and there is a very strong change in weather on a weekly base, one day its warn and then the next week the temperature drops 20 degrees. The hospitals are very busy this time of year.

Today was a very beautiful day it was sunny and clear day everyone walking around with a smile, you can sense that good weather puts people in a very good mood. It is about time that we get some good weather hopefully it remains this way and we dont get a quick change to cold weather like the way we have had these past few days.Looking at the forecast its going to be a beautiful week,the negative side to this is that there going to be alot of work at my job. I do cleaning of a small park in a commerical building so people hang out there all day and night and the mess that is made is increible ,but im ready to take on this mess that intensifies in the summer. Let me tell you that what ever your mind can imagine you can find outside let me tell you that i have to deal with it.

This weekend i bought the collection of the rush hour movies. I saw all three of the movies ,one threw three they were so funny. I love when jackie Chan gets together with Chris Tucker they make such a team. I would rate these movies as the most funny movies that have been put together. Its funny as well how Chan does not speak that good of english and tries to prnounes certain words,along with Tucker he just has a very funny demeanor.I would say that the first movie is the funniest one out of all three it is so original and it was well acted out , iwould suggest that if you get a chance to go and veiw these movies.

There was a fight in the area by my job there seem to be to females fighting over a man it was pretty funny to watch.They made a show like you never seen before it was loud and so over acted that i had to stand there and watch it go down. The girls are yelling over each others voice and then they start to pull each others hair and clothing starts to come off and the funny part is that no one would step in to stop it. the guy was there watching this all happen over him and he had a cool-aid smile as this took place.It finally came to an end when the police came and arrested both of the females ,the guy just stood there and watched this whole event go down and a third female came by , i guess to meet him and left with him as the two other girls were taken away by the police ,wow.

This was a strange day because there are so many opinions about the sean bell case.There was a small gather in Jamacia and there were so many people that were upset. I feel this whole case is a very sad time for everyone in the city because its brought on a certain type of separation between us. ask myself was there justice and my answer is im not the one to decide but there are many points that just dont make to much sense.There is so many issues to consider when something of this magnetude takes places so many life's are affected by these incidents.Supporters for bell and the family are marching on til they get the justice they are in search of, when will that time come is a question that i have no clue.

Lets start out by talking about the crazy weather. I work in maintenenace and its been a very messy day with all the dirty that people produce the night before. There is a bar that also serves food so you can imagine the mess people create after drinking all night and eating. People throw food on the floor and all types of garbage to even throw up and its a messy job but it must get done.The funny part is how some people having to go to work the next day ,they find them self's sleeping on the concrete ,so it's a funny seeing these people all drunk and waking up and realizing its the next day and running off to work in that condition.

To start off this first blog i start out by mentioning how tired i am. I mean waking up at 3:30 in the morning takes a hell of a toll on the human body not to mention getting about 4 hours of sleep. I have to be at work at 6 am and having night class at night. The funny thing that i must mention is the crazy things i see in the morning when alot of these early birds are going to work. There are bums on the E line every morning and its pretty funny how people are trying to get a seat just to catch a few minutes of sleep. But what really is interesting how people get upset when there is nowhere to sit on the train. I mean i seen people sit so close to a bum when laying down on the train bench that the bum's head is just about on the person lap ,just to catch a few minutes of nap time. There has been a survey done across the United States concerning recent SAT scores and the results have been that students across the U.S. have drop numbers in both math and reading. why is it that these scores have took a drop and what does this mean over all. I guess students must be getting distracted from their studies and are not really putting their all into what is most important.Now a days students can find them selves to get distracted very easily with the peer pressure and all this gadgets like the side kick and all the fashion that are out there. There are alots of students that must also confront the issues of drugs, sex and alcohol and a bad decision can have very serious results. Students in today's schools have alot of challenges and must be focus because its affecting scoring in big exams like the SAT's which are made to evaluate the students level of academic skills both in math and reading. With growing economies like China and India we must stay ahead of the game because the competition is growing at fast rates in all Fields especially math.

The heat in my apartment has made it a haven for some these summer bugs.Just today as i got home from a long day i turn on the lights and notice, one of those very big cockroaches running across my room Now keep in mind that their is no food in my home i don't cook or eat hardly anything in my home so I'm wondering why are they here. I tries to spray it with some oven cleaner it is a very powerful chemical i don't have bug spray so i have to improvise. As i try to move in on the roach it ran so fast with its little legs and went behind my wall where i cant reach it.So as i sit down to write in my blog from the corner of my eye i notice something move real fast, so i start to stare in that direction and i get up to look and it was a very large centipede running by my shoes. I know how fast they can move so i grab the spray and position my self where in case it heads in my direction i can move quickly;it ran but the centipede went towards a corner of the wall where there is no holes for it to escape, i sprayed it and no more than 5 seconds it just froze and died i really hate those bugs. I then notice it curl up and just stood there so i used a piece of paper to pick it up and throw it in the toilet, what a night,kind of creepy.

What is the United states to do with the situation concerning the problem we have with terrorists across seas. The war in Iraq is a war that is fighting people who are protecting their home land that they have love for. How can you blame these people from fighting for what they they believe. They have been label as terrorist so i guess this is alright to kill them and declare war against them. The price we are paying for this war is greatly regrettable lives are being lost on both sides of the fence; especially the Iraqi people who really suffer so much before the war and now that is going on. All this is doing is an increase of hatred and violent consequences which is foreseeing no resolution insight. The actual treat has now risen do to the administrations actions. The real enemy is in the Pakistan border; the war must be brought to the ermines door and nothing else. Its been said that the enemy is gaining power and numbers through out the war. Bush had said that the terrorists had no place to hide or set up shop, on the contrary they are doing what they want and we must take affirmative action, immediately.

Its a great thing when a person learns something they have been wanting to learn and once you do its a great feeling. For example i just learned how to ride a motorcycle, it a great feeling. Ive been wanting to learn how to ride a bike for such a long time. I love the speed and the feeling of being free so that's a exciting feeling that i have wanted to feel. My friend is the owner of the bike and he has been giving lessons for a while but today i went on my own and it felt good. The other part about riding a motorcycle is how much power this machine has and you are basically in full control of it. The beauty of a bike would be in the eye of the beholder because there are alots of amazing things that the bike presents like its slick design and speed as well for the technology implemented is pretty cool. There is one major fact that individuals must not take for granted and that is the power beneath you can cause death if not respected; so a person must always follow road speed limits and wear protective equipment.

Today i went out to downtown Manhattan and decide to visit a few friends that i meet about a year ago. It's pretty interesting that they treat me with open arms and sort of a family feeling. I specifically went to see some dress cloths that i need and went with few friends. We went to this cool diner where the food was so fresh and everything that was served with the food had a barbecue flavor to it. Alot of the stores and eatery's out there are kind of old and have been around for a couple of years. I would Love to live out there but the rent is to damn high for a little box of an apartment. But if you have money and can afford to live out there you will definitely find your self a very nice pad.

I was taking a lesson this week on making rice it was pretty funny because every time i try making rice i simply burn it. I must of tried like 50 times and every try was a burning result. So a friend of mine came to NYC on vacation so she took the time to show how to make a basic pot of white rice. I took the first try at it and like always it didn't come out good at all, but i must mention that i didn't burn it but it came out all soggy and wet the rice was all stuck together. So with some patience my friend guided me step by step. Everything from putting the right amount of salt and some onions to add flavor; but also the right size of flame which is what i have a problem with. I think i got the way in making white rice but its definitely going to take me some more tries and alot more pots that I'm going to have to purchase ,so wish me luck.

The summer feels like its over the weather has changed very quickly it feels like it went from 90 degrees to 50. I get sick real quick when the temperature changes so fast. The mornings have been very hard because i came out with a t-shirt thinking it was going to be hot, but the opposite it was so cold. I like the winter but not when the weather start to cause physical pain on the skin. I like the changes in weather in N.Y. but when it gets to hot or to cold it is hard to live with because it is so uncomfortable. Well it is time to bring out the sweaters and long johns because its going to be another cold winter in the big apple. Time to deal with the snow in the streets making it hard to drive and walk through but its the way of live here, it would be nice to talk a trip somewhere warmer like the Bahamas.

It was in the news today that a very famous football player will plead guilty to charges of killing dogs that were no longer performing any better after they were put to fight. Some of the dogs were drowned of just put down. I really don't understand how people could be so cruel and hurt an animal in this manner. The laws will definitely take care of these people that break these laws and the punishment will be proper to these offenders. What makes it weird is that this was a man with money a very rich football player he could have been doing something else with his money instead of putting dogs to fight. It is pretty sure that he was not involved in this for the money because he has millions but it must of been for the pleasure of watching dogs fight to the death and now the law was broken and he will have to pay.

The news is out that the incident with the miners being trap under ground has taken a very drastic turn. On top of the miners being trap of about two weeks with no water or air the situation has now even gotten worst because there were three rescuers that have now died in the mine. This is a very sad time for the family members who have love ones in the mines. I think about how a person can even survive for even a day being trap. There must be a better way to make it safer for workers to go underground because this has be going on for a while and it is a very sad circumstances. The search and rescue has been stop for indefinitely do to this tragic events that have taken place. I sometimes wonder if all this work is necessary for these men and women to put there lives on the line for their search of resources if this is the case.

I recently was looking to put my stepson into the YMCA so he can work out and stay active this is very important for him to stay healthy. I know he really likes to play basketball and he also likes to swim so the YMCA has a lot of programs in this activity. My stepson has gain some weight and this has me concern especially now a days with all the food that has unhealthy fat and also i know that he likes to eat burger king, Wendy's and all these fast food restaurants.
The YMCA was a place i use to go to and go swimming this is also where i really perfected my swimming skills. I also lifted weights there and also played handball down to martial arts ,there are so many great programs that they offer. So lets see what program i can put him into, something that he really likes and can take full advantage of, at the YMCA.

Space Shuttle

There has been a recent launch by NASA and things have not necessary gone as planned. There was a problem with a piece of metal hitting the bottom of the shuttle which torn a hole on the surface of the skin. So now the shuttle has a big problem because the crew can't coming into earth for landing until they get it fix. Ever since that tragic event of Columbia exploding in mid air in 2003 NASA has taken the necessary steps to prevent this tragedy from reoccurring. Ever time these missions are made to outer space it can be a risk taker. But it must be great to venture to outer space, to view the stars out there and the deep black space that has not been explored yet.

Well i think i have choose a topic that is a bit unusual and that the Vietnam war. But I'm talking about the specific topic of the bombings that took place the destruction of the forest and the damage it did to the environment. The trees and Forest that was wiped out by these big aircraft dropping tremendous bombs that were made for one and one reason only and that was to destroy.There were many different types of bombs that were used for different purposes of destruction weather to wipe out human life or forest that had to be cleared. There has also been a great affect on the people that live in these remote areas and the diseases that have spread. Even though the war was about 30 years ago there are children that are still suffering today with the effects that the bombings had on human life. There must of been thousands of bombs drop in Vietnam more then WWI or WWII and i believe more than the present war in Iraq.

What a mess it was this morning the rain was like a water fall, like they say when it rains it pours. I tried to take the off from work but i could not so i had to go to work and deal with the mess out there, let me tell you it was not easy. There was flooding all over the city it was real bad . I start to think how what if we got hit with a very bad disaster storm this city will crumble that is something i don't even want to think about. The sad part is that there was a death do to this storm a lady got stuck in a flood while in her car and was hit from behind the impact killed her. I tell you that people can be real stupid knowing that a storm is in affect people this drive faster than what they should, that gets me pissed off. My prayers go out to her and her family. The bad news too is that the rain has not completely gone away we still have storms to worry about.

The home run record was broken tonight by Barry bonds weather he used or did not use performance enhancing drugs is a question that only Bonds himself can answer and it all depends on his morals and if he can live a lie. But we are not anyone to judge this man the sports world has been invaded by these drugs for a very long time and I'm sure that many records that been broke were done with the help of these drugs. But it is a great honor to be alive to see history happen in front of our eyes and baseball has such a historical legency. Hank Arron was the king of home runs and now its Bonds so much respect to him for this great accomplishment. Steroids are something that has to be brought under control in the sports world cause it takes away all the glory of what man/women can conquer in sports so rules and punishment must be upgraded to make sure this does not continue. Especially for our youth that look up to these great contenders so they don't cheat the fans and especially them self's.

I was listening to a musical concert on the radio that was all jazz instruments. Everything from piano,flute, guitar, just about any instrument you can think about. The music was so relaxing and very exciting to listen to. The music was provided by cd 101.9 which is a radio station that just plays soft jazz it is a very good radio station because the music it plays is stress free and puts the mind into a very calm state. At times they give special concerts with a large selection of artist that play all types of instruments. My favorite instrument is the piano because of it's soft and smooth sound, i've been wanting to play the piano for years. I really like classical music as well and would like to learn to play a few famous pieces of classical notes from Mozart to Beethoven. These were some of the greatest writers of classical music they were smart with the music they wrote and played, i intend to learn how to play piano one day.

I just did something that makes me feel so good and that was send some money to a charity in Africa to help some children out there. We here in American have it so good and there are people who really need alot of help. We forget what we have at times this is why we have to give a little something to those that have nothing not even clean water. In the world today there are people who dont even have the basic needs like food or water and that is a shame in the world we live in today. So i do it because its a little step to help those people who cant really help them selves and i expect nothing in return, it comes straight from the heart. We sometimes forget about the less fortunate but we as humans must stick together to make the world a better place to live because the day is going to come when it will all end and alot of people are goin to do alot of wishing.

My cus took a trip to texas and told me he had a great time. He left for a week and visited San Antonio he told me the temperature out there is very hot. He also told me that people out there are over weight because all you see is fast food places. He mention how there are alot of mexicans out there and how the water is dry it can dry up your skin thats how hot it is in Texas. But one thing that he really liked out there was the standard of living is low the housing are very in expensive out and you can get a very big house. The job to have out there is working for a steel mill and you can live very good in Texas it's like having a corporate job here in New York City. He also told me that the rent is cheap out there he is now planning to move and live out there with his family. He visited a town right outside of the mexican border where he told it was totally beautiful, the water was clear as can be and teh beaches were so beautiful out there so maybe if i get a chance i will take a trip out there and get to enjoy Texas.

A thought ran across my mind after it rained today. The air seems cleaner and fresh as if the city was washed from all the bad ordor from the garbage and the pollution in the air. I started to think about the massive garbage that is produce on the daily basis and the pollution as well. So i started to think about the future of our planet because at the rate that we are going there just might not be nothing left to live from. All the cars on the road dont help at all and can you imagine how many cars are there in the world today can you begin to see the cloud of smoke that is created and how hurtful it is to us. Where will we be in another 20 years from now and what effects will all this pollution have on the planet earth. What will the future look for our youth, how will the living conditions be for our future especially with all these new nations growing at a fast rate and the industrial way of life spreading fast. I really hope the leaders of the world can come up with some type of solution for this epidmic that is spreading like wild fire because the future is not looking like a bright, at all.

I was reading an article on china and how its taking over the world and how is that bad or good for the United States. China is becoming a economic super power but unlike the United States it's doing it through a soft veiw of the world. They are doing business with countries the U.S. would not. They are making deals with countries in Africa, Asia, South America since they are becoming so big their need for oil is on high demand and with this look they are making alot of deals arcoss with a blind eye on human rights. China in the past tried to stay in the shade but do to their growth natural resources are on high demand. China has invested close to $46.3 billion in 2005 it is small compare to the U.S. but they are becoming much larger by the day at a very fast rate. We here in the U.S. have felt the effects of china through the out sourcing jobs and the less expensive merchandise that is produce over seas. Like it was said in the article"china walks softly but carries a big checkbook.

I recently was invited by my sister to go camping with her and some friends. The trip is to take place somewhere in Long Island and the area is a real jungle like. There are alot of different types of animals out there. I also think about the bugs that are out there, and i hate bugs like spiders and flying insects are not my most favorite bugs. But i think about the camp fire and going fishing i really like to do those things so im giving it a second thought to see if ill go. Im also looking forward to maybe taking a swim in the lake and thats alot of fun. I use to go camping when i was real young with my father and i had a great time. Plus i havent been camping for a very long time. I just hope i can find the time to go to this trip but if not ill have to wait till next time. But i will go camping again one day.

The city got watered

All i could say was wow. It rained tonight like i never seen it before, the city got cleaned up a bit. It first started with lighting from a far distance and then little by little it started to rain, and then it came down hard. The thing was that i was driving in the rain and i could see not a thing. The only thing i could see was the tail lights of the cars in front of me and i used that to guide me in a straight line. On top of that i had no A/C so i had to close the windows and the heat in the car was inmense. The windows were getting fogging so it made it even harder for me to see, i was driving about 20 miles per hour over the city bridge. The car has tints so it was hard to see and find parking ,but i did get lucky and found a spot. The good thing about the rain was that it watered the city and cooled down the temperature ,so it was pretty nice.

I went to my job and the A/C is on high and it is cold and once i step outside it is so hot. But now that i have stop by the school it is so cold inside the A/C is on high every where i go. My bones are starting to hurt from this change in temperature the high and low temps.Thats one thing you get living in this type of weather. But ill tell that rather be the A/C than this heat cause it gets sweaty after a while. The school im in just has the temperature a bit to high or the temp to low i cant almost wait to get outside and warm up a little.The funny thing is the winter is just the opposite, it gets so cold outside but i love to go into a warm house that feels so cozy.
Well we only have one month of summer and it all will be over and back to the cold temperatures. oh no its cold

The War in the middle east is a war that is taking a toll on every american in the U.S. Especially the families that have a love one at war across the world in Iraq. This topic really hurts my heart because my country is fighting people that were with in the country from the begining, people who are defending their homeland. I recently try to go on a diet even though i weigh 140 lbs its not so much a diet to lose weight but to get and stay much healthier. The things that i've been eating are not so great for me like buger king or wendy's all these fast food places and that includes chinese as well. I've been trying to stay away from meat but the problem is that i feel weak at times like my body is missing something. I would take a guess and it is probably iron that im missing in my system. Im trying to eat more vegies and fruits and trying to eat fish which is much better for me. It's like that saying goes you are what you eat. Our health should be the most important thing to us because without it we have nothing regardless the money you might have. But there is something that i must confess and that is that i smoke cigarettes which is the worst thing a human can do to them self . I must say that i stop smoking for about a year and half but do to some streeful situations im back on it. This diet that i talk about is just more than losing weight it's a diet for my health.

Sport fever

The race is on when it comes to sports mainly talking about baseball and the most watch team is the New York yankees and the Boston red sox there is alot going on with the mets as well. So you can hear everyone talking about which team might take it or what team is likely to lose the race for the wild card. It's pretty funny how all these people think they are sports experts and how they they think the future will look. As for me im just hoping to see any New York team at the end and maybe be able to win it all that would be nice. I like to watch sports but im not as crazy as some people i know because it can get pretty hairy when people argue over these teams that really are not doing much for you, while they are making millions. But it's nice to watch the abilities of these indivduals as they play just about any sport, it is a great talent to be blessed with. This weekend should be very interesting because there are going to be some good games going on, so lets wait and see as the sport fever is rising.

The recently read an article on Warren Buffett and how he made his riches in investing like in the company he has Berkshire Hathaway. This man is the king when it came to investing he is really amazing. I mean he started with $105,000 from friends and family and $100 dollars of his own in 1956 to making a whopping $52 billion in 2007 making him the second richest in America. He owns alot of stocks which me invested a while ago ,it is said that if you had invested in him in 1956 you would have about 30 million dollars. Buffett is great at investing and fund managing he is really amazing.He has stocks in coca-cola, fruit of a loom, ice cream. He is a very smart man, but opposite buffett is hot stocks, quick trades.

I recently was in downtown manhattan in the area of soho i was there for my job and it was so interesting being surrounded in such a historical place. I just loved how the the buildings were made back in the days with all the diferent designs and some of the small streets in between the larger streets. I can just imagine how the city would look back in the 1930's how beautiful the cars that were used and how the people dressed back then. It is so amazing how these buuildings are still standing and how people live in them with all the history they hold, ive seen pictures of downtown like Mulberry st. or canal and it is breath taking that people and times have change so much. I recently visited the old st. patrick catherdal on mott st. and it was like i traveled years in the past to when the church was first built in 1809 it was the first church in New York City alot of the people back then were irish and the diferent pastors meet there to hold services, what history it holds.

The experiences we as people go through in life are like the stock market it can be hard to deal at times. You'll have good times and you'll have bad times this is part of life. The fun part is when you learn from the bad times so that you don't make the same mistakes. This is the way we try to react because we don't want those same feelings to come back again especially when they were negative feelings. We as people sometimes act on our emotions and this is what can cause us to make even more mistakes and desicions and have or give us bad results. Life is like a rollercoaster so hold on tight for this long ride.

IT is so hot in my apartment and so humid i can not bear this heat . My room can be used for a large frying pan it is so hot and the bad news is that its only going to get hotter than what it is. It got so hot in my apartment that i dont even sleep on my bed anymore i lay on the floor which it is a bit cooler i also have the fan blowing hot air. I have a wet towel to keep me cool plus taking cold showers to reduce the body tempertaure, it does help just a bit. The other funny part about this heat is the bugs that some way or another they tend to make into my apartment and suck up alot of my sweet blood that they must love so much because i have bit marks on my legs and back and down to my toes. Im going to see if maybe i can head to the beach on sunday and catch a little bit of sun and cool off but not for a long time because i dont want cook out there. But yes its hot out there.

Sometimes you can be surfing the internet and run into some type of deals that catch the eye and sound really good. But the problem is that there are people who want to scam you and steal your idenity and that could result in a very big mess. The people who set up these web sites are real smart because they make it seem so sweet of a deal and then they will ask you for information that can lead to your personal information be stolen and be use for many things like purchasing all types of items or even committing crimes on top of a crime. The internet is a hole for these type of crimes to be committed and they are waiting for many victims. This is why you should never give out any personal info over the phone or the internet.

Love can really be hurtful especailly when you have love for someone but the love is not given in return. The things a person will do when they are in love it's not easy a person will almost do anything to express their emotion. Sometimes you are so much in love that in a blink of an eye you are there for the one you love, but what sometime happens is that one can forget about yourself in the mist of all this emotion. This can become a problem because you begin to lose the responsibility that you are suppose to up hold. What can also be difficult is when that person you love doesn't love you back even if its a little bit, this can really hurt a person and makes everthing so hard. Love is so hard and a feeling that we try to make sense of but we can't, this is why love is not easy.

I had to wake up this morning and the first thing i had to do was clean up my living room there must have been like and inch of dust on the floor. I've been so busy that i could not clean for a few days and the dust piled up on me. I had to open my balcony door and wear a mask to protect myself from the dust. Once i sweep the dust up and pass the mop with some good smell solution the floor was shiney as could be. The best part is when i put a wax on the floor cause it gives it that extra shine. I've been thinking about getting the floor strip and wax so it can have the permitted shine the only problem is that it cost about $1000 and thats pretty steep.I like to have the floor looking so shiney and clean that i could sleep on it, now thats clean. I really don't like to have a mess in my apartment.

It is pretty late and im about to go to sleep. My apartment is hot as hell i have no A/C i just have a fan blowing hot air and this week coming is going to be even hotter. Thats the only thing i can't stand about this hot weather when it gets humid. I would think at night it would be cooler temperatures but its not like that. The worst part is trying to sleep in this heat i wake up at night and take about two showers in the middle of the night. But the one thing about where i live is the balcony because i go out there and enjoy the night sky, i would sleep out there but the bugs would eat me alive. I love looking at the stars and thinking about the good things in life and how good it is to be alive .

I went to one of my classes and it was pretty hard today cause there was a problem that involved math which gave me alot of trouble. Math was not my most favorite subject i've always had trouble with it. But im very determine to conquer math now, i love the difficultly of it now because its like a mountain i have to climb and defeat. The math problem i dealt with today was one of sort of basic math it took me a while to get through it but i did it. After many trys i got the solution to and the best part was that i understood everything about the math problem. I like to think and work my brain cause its like an excrise that will help develop my mind in the long run. Im taking a math class now that deals with alot of formulas, its statistics. Its fun but there is alot of reading that goes along with that and understanding.

The van was a totally new experience to me. when i thought i had to spend money that i dont even have the lord gave me a helping hand. I decide to go under the van and connect the hose that looked out of placed and put it together. I inserted the key and wow the van started up i was so happy that i didnt have to spend any money. But as i crossed the 59 street bridge the car shut off on me again and i was so worried but i directed the traffic to go around me and got under there again and made the same connection. I had a feeling like alot of money would have to be spent because i would have to take it to a mechanic. which i did but he only charge me $60 for the whole piece which included a whole new gas filter. Now that was not so bad a price for what i thought was going to spent on the toll truck from the city to Queens and then for the mechanic to check the problem out and charge me for the part i would need ,it all turned out ok.
The van made it home in peace and a large amount of money was not spent.

No Sleep

What a day ,after i left school i had to run to take my mother to Long Island and then i had to take a t.V. i bought for a friend as a gift back to circuit city in rego park Queens coming from Soho Manhattan. The t.v. had problems and it was not working properly. So once i picked up my friend from her mothers house and then to her apartment i had to wrap the t.v. in blankets because she threw the box out. So finally i was on my way with the new t.v. in the box like around 9:30 pm right on 2nd ave by 43 st the van turned off right in the middle of the street with all that New York traffic honking like crazy, on top of that there was a strong smell of gasoline. I guess a hose broke and oil and gas started to leak. Thank to the Lord almighty two guys from no where gave me a hand to push the van to the side of the road. So i decide to wait to see if the van would cool down and try to restarted and i did and nothing happen it just started to leak. so after waiting allthis time i took a cab with my friend and the t.v. to Soho cause it was getting late. I had to leave the van in the city and i have up to monday to move it or get it tolled away, but the problem is that i really have no money and the van is not mine, what a mess. i had to take the train home form Soho and i just got in. I am so tried and i have to wake up in 4 hours , im going on no sleep. I hope i can get out of this mess.

Well the day started out extremely early about 4:30- in the morning. I had to drive my cousin to the airport because he's going to Texas for vacation with the family. I then had to pick my little niece and drive her to dance class but before that take her to mcdonald's to eat breakfast. This all affected my time balance because i ended up about 20 minutes late to class and im a person who does anything and everything to be on time when it comes to things that are really important to me. The class seems pretty fun ,even thought i have a little catching up to do i love to express myself in writing. Another thing is that in every class i learn something new like in english class a student wrote about shea butter, im going to purchase some shea butter for my hair and skin now. Im also having second thoughts about bottle water which a fellow student in class wrote an eassy about, which has giving me something to really think about because im a very big believer in bottled water. Well the day has started and i have alot of things to do so i will keep you post all through the day.
